The installation of Veracel represented the largest private investment in Brazil of the past few years. The total funds involved, some US$ 1.25 billion, includes the formation and maintenance of eucalyptus plantations, adjustment of infrastructure and construction of the mill. The execution of the industrial project was able to count upon the international experience and technological knowledge of the two partners, Aracruz and Stora Enso.

In terms of technology, we sought to use state of the art equipment, installations, building methods and environmental protection. At the end of the day, we were able to achieve the quickest construction deadlines ever obtained in a project of this size, starting from a completely untouched area.
