Veracel concludes the second stage of the forestry certification process - 06.06.05
Veracel successfully concluded, with no non-conformities, the first and second stages of the process to have its forests certified through CERFLOR. The announcement was made by auditors from BVQI (Bureau Veritas Quality Internacional) in early June after a meeting to finish up the main audit, carried out between May 30 and June 3.
In the next few days, the BVQI will be preparing the final report of the audit process. Subsequently, the document will be available on the BVQI Web site for comments. Finally, after approximately 60 days, there will be a formal recommendation by Veracel for certification on part of Brazil’s National Metrology, Norms and Industrial Quality Institute) – a federal entity linked to the Ministry of Industrial Development and Foreign Trade.
