Veracel Publishes summary of its management plan
Veracel has published a special summarized edition of its integrated management plan. The document is being distributed in training sessions given to its own and outsourced employees in the corporate and forestry areas involved with FSC certification. The summary can be accessed on the Veracel website.
According to José Márcio Cardoso, Veracel’s forestry planning manager, “the content of the plan is reviewed and updated annually so that it contains information that is always correct about the eventual improvements in forestry management, also encompassing the results of the monitoring of the programs and the actions conducted by the company.”
The plan summarizes the programs, actions and procedures adopted by Veracel for its forestry management activities, including technical, environmental and social aspects. The publication of the document presents in a clear manner the company’s forestry policies, proving its good practices within a vision of sustainability. Furthermore, the planned serves as orientation for the forestry certification processes.
