Veracel is located the Extreme South of the state of Bahia, a region that encompasses the municipalities of Eunápolis, Canavieiras, Belmonte, Guaratinga, Itabela, Itagimirim, Itapebi, Porto Seguro and Santa Cruz Cabrália.

Geographical aspects - an average distance of 45 km from the eucalyptus plantations and 64 km from the marine terminal - also contribute to make the project feasible. Other attractions include favorable climate conditions and the availability of land for planting eucalyptus trees in harmony with Atlantic Forest remnants in the region.
