In 1994, three years after the company was founded, the Veracel Atlantic Forest Program was created, with the setting up of a nursery for producing native seedlings and the planting of the first original forest tree species.

The goal of the Atlantic Forest Program is to recover, manage and protect the remnants of this rich ecosystem that are located on our properties in different stages of conservation.

Through the program, we have been able to consolidate and disseminate knowledge about respect for the maintenance and recovery of the original biodiversity. We also have developed forestry management and recovery modules appropriate to the different situations that we have discovered in the area.

The environmental recovery technology that Veracel has developed is available to preservation organizations and local farm owners. With the use publics, we are running partition programs for the full and harmonious replacement of the forest.
