With the startup of the mill, Veracel created 3,000 permanent jobs between its own employees and outsourced workers. We estimate that our activities represent the creation of another 7,000 direct jobs due to increased regional economic activity.

We still are the center of an economic chain, nourished by the activities that we carry out and the services that we acquire in the region.

We are responsible for a number of specific programs involving the region’s producers and entrepreneurs. One of these is encouragement of non-wood harvests (such as honey) in areas neighboring our plantations.
