Veracel Cellulose is responsible for RPPN Estação Veracel, the largest private Atlantic Forest reserve in the Brazilian northeast region. We protect and monitor native species of fauna and flora and water resources in this fully conserved forest. We carry out Environmental Education and bird watching activities in this area.
Estação Veracel has welcomed and developed the work of researchers in the scientific world. It has been identified as a key biodiversity area due to its relevant work in protecting globally endangered species. This is a collective work including our employees, researchers and the local community.
