More than 20 years of artisanal fishing monitoring along Southern Bahia’s coastline.

5,400 school kits distributed through the Education is Life Program in 34 Indigenous villages, benefiting more than 1,400 families.

Approximately R$ 7 million invested annually in family farming, benefiting 1,697 families across 34 communities.

6 family farming associations participating in regional gastronomic events supported by Veracel.

More than R$ 1.3 million invested through incentive laws in cultural projects for children and youth, including Ecoar Bahia and Lyra Popular de Belmonte.

1st Veracel Women in Fishing Award
The first edition of the award recognized and celebrated women involved in artisanal fishing, strengthening female leadership in coastal communities across the region.
Sea Turtle Monitoring and Rehabilitation
Monitoring and rehabilitation actions for sea turtles contribute to the conservation of coastal biodiversity along Southern Bahia’s coastline.
Humpback Whale Monitoring
Humpback whale monitoring contributes to knowledge generation and marine wildlife conservation along the Bahia coast.

Indigenous Peoples:
Respect and Ongoing Dialogue
Continuous dialogue, active listening, and the strengthening of territorial relationships guide Veracel’s engagement with Indigenous peoples in the region.

We support initiatives aimed at strengthening family farming, generating income, and developing local value chains, contributing to sustainable regional development.

Waste, Co-products, and Circular Economy
Our waste management approach is guided by circularity, prioritizing reducing, reusing, recycling, and properly disposing of materials that cannot be reintegrated into productive cycles.
